Southern California mosaic artist Irina Charny talks about her process, where she sources materials, how she approaches commissions and the childhood interest in mosaics that began in the former Soviet Union, with time for questions. It runs 7 to 8 p.m. at Sherman Library & Gardens, 2647 E Coast Hwy, Corona del Mar (OCTA Route 1 runs along Coast Highway). Members $10, non-members $20; her exhibition Inspired by Nature is on view through Nov 20.
