About
An introduction to indigo dyeing: its history, setting up an indigo vat and shibori resist techniques, worked on a cotton bandana, a silk scarf and sample fabric, plus a small natural-fiber item of your own if you like. Susanne Rott leads it from 10am to 1pm on Saturday, December 5, at Lillstreet Art Center, 4401 N Ravenswood Ave near the Montrose Brown Line. It costs $130 ($125 members) plus a $15 materials fee.

Textile classes range from weaving on a frame or rigid-heddle loom to embroidery, knitting, crochet, natural dyeing, felting and sewing a first garment.
