How it compares

  • Weekend
  • Take it home the same day

No other studio on our calendar in Chicago runs mosaic classes right now, so this is the place to go for one.

Other dates for this class

New to mosaic?

A mosaic class teaches you to cut or arrange tile, glass or ceramic pieces on a base, glue them down and grout the gaps — on a tray, a stepping stone, a mirror frame or a lamp.

  • Beginner sessions use pre-cut pieces; longer courses teach cutting with nippers.
  • Two to three hours is typical for a single piece.
  • Grouting is the messy part, so wear clothes you can wash.

Taking it home: Often the same day, though a grouted piece may need a day to set before it is handled much.
