Paper Basket Twining
About
Students lay out spokes and twine Japanese paper cord around them, adding colour as they go, and finish a small basket in a day under weaver Carrie Botto. It runs Sunday, November 22, 10 AM–3 PM, with a lunch break (bring a bag lunch), at Sebastopol Center for the Arts, 282 S. High Street (drive/park). The price is $150 plus a $10 materials fee, with all materials provided. Paper cord is far easier on the hands than reed, so this is a forgiving first basketry class.
