Native Planting at Mountain View A2w Pond
About
Save The Bay volunteers plant natives on the new marsh slope of the A2W pond levee, breached in January 2026 to bring tides back as part of the South Bay Salt Ponds restoration in the Don Edwards refuge. Saturday Nov 7, 10 am–1 pm; park at Shoreline Golf Links in Mountain View and walk about half a mile on the paved Bay Trail (drive/park), with gloves, hand picks and kneepads provided. The organiser doesn't publish a price on this listing; the same planting repeats Nov 21 and Dec 5, and it's one of the few chances to plant on a brand-new 'living levee'.
