Pelican Palooza
About
Naturalists set up spotting scopes at the Del Valle marina so visitors can watch the American white pelicans that winter on the lake. Weekends in November and December, 1:30–3 pm at the marina, 7000 Del Valle Rd, Livermore (drive/park); drop-in, free. Del Valle hosts one of the region's most reliable winter pelican flocks, and the scopes make it easy for kids to see them up close.
