Join the Ohlone Audubon Society and District naturalists for a slice of the century-old Christmas Bird Count, tallying species on a 2-mile hike with up to 500 ft of gain. Sunday Dec 20, 11 am–noon from the Visitor Center, 8000 Patterson Ranch Rd, Fremont (drive/park); drop-in, free; bring binoculars if you have them. It's an easy, beginner-friendly way to contribute to real community science.
