Ferns & Other Ancient Plants

About

A relaxed 3.5-mile docent walk into Stevens Creek Canyon to learn to recognise ferns and other plants that predate flowering plants, how various cultures have used ferns (including as food), and perhaps spot newts in the creek, with a snack break on the way back via Canyon Trail. It runs Saturday, November 28, 10 AM–1:30 PM, from the Monte Bello Parking Area on Page Mill Road, across from Los Trancos Preserve (drive/park). Midpen doesn't publish a price on the listing. It is a gentle Thanksgiving-weekend outing compared with the Black Mountain full-moon hike from the same lot four days earlier.
