Docent naturalists lead a moderately paced 4-mile hike with about 600 ft of climbing on the Upper Pete Siemens Trail, stopping at two old-growth redwoods and explaining how redwoods hold the forest ecosystem together. Saturday Nov 7, 1–4:30 pm from the Alma parking area, about a mile down Bear Creek Rd off Hwy 17, Los Gatos (drive/park; carpool and arrive early, the lot fills). The organiser doesn't publish a price or registration details; most of the route stays under the canopy, making it a good rainy-season pick.
