Waterwheel Downhill Ride

About

Docents Dave Kocsis, Steve Crawford and An Scharlaken lead an advanced 17-mile mountain-bike ride through Monte Bello's trails and fire roads: mostly downhill (a 2,200-foot net descent, with 1,700+ feet of climbing), carpooling to the Waterwheel Creek Trail and returning via Stevens Canyon Road, including about five miles on public roads. It runs Sunday, November 1, 10 AM–3 PM, meeting at the Picchetti Ranch Preserve parking lot (drive/park). Reservations are required (open October 18 at noon, close October 30 at 2 PM), and Midpen doesn't publish a price. It is the most demanding of the Midpen outings on our calendar.
