A moderately paced 2.5-mile Halloween hike for leashed dogs and their people on Pulgas Ridge's Blue Oak, Hassler, Polly Geraci and Cordilleras trails, with docents sharing natural history and dog treats provided; costumes optional. Saturday Oct 31, 10:30 am–noon from the Pulgas Ridge parking area on Edmonds Rd, Redwood City, off I-280 at Edgewood Rd (drive/park). Registration opens Oct 17 and closes Oct 30; the organiser doesn't publish a price, and Pulgas Ridge's off-leash area makes it a natural dog-owner hangout.
