A strenuous 6-mile round trip with about 1,000 ft of gain up the north side of Pole Mountain, through Little Black Mountain Preserve forest to the 2,204-ft summit and its 360° views of the Sonoma Coast. Sunday Oct 25, 10 am–4 pm, meeting at Monte Rio Beach parking lot, 20488 CA-116, Monte Rio (drive/park); free, co-hosted with Ag + Open Space. A second date runs Saturday Nov 21; this private preserve opens only on guided outings.
