Glider Discovery
About
An outdoor family session in the museum courtyard: kids learn the parts of an airplane, help build a full-size Penguin trainer and assemble a balsa-wood glider to take home, at the Hiller Aviation Museum, 601 Skyway Rd, San Carlos (San Carlos Caltrain is the nearest station, but it's across Highway 101, so most visitors drive and park). It runs 11 am–noon on Sunday, Nov 29, and again Sunday, Dec 20, included with museum admission, members free. Every child leaves with a glider, which makes it the best take-home of Hiller's Sunday sessions.
