Christmas in the Park
About
San José's free holiday tradition fills Plaza de César Chávez with decorated trees and animated displays, opening the day after Thanksgiving with the community tree lighting. It runs Nov 27, 2026 to Jan 1, 2027, daily noon–10 pm including Christmas Eve and Christmas Day, on Market Street between San Fernando and San Carlos in downtown San José, by VTA light rail's Paseo de San Antonio station. Admission is free (donations welcome), and weeknights are far calmer than the opening weekend.
