Roundtable Reading: the Vanishing of Lake Peigneur

About

Young readers take turns reading aloud the opening pages of Allan Wolf's nonfiction graphic novel, illustrated by Jose Pimienta and narrated by the lake itself, about the 1980 accident in which a drill hole drained Louisiana's Lake Peigneur into a salt mine; everyone keeps a copy to finish at home. It starts at 2:30 PM on Saturday, November 14, at BAMPFA, 2155 Center Street, Berkeley, across from Downtown Berkeley BART, and is recommended for ages 7 and up with an adult; no sign-up is needed. Family programmes are free for kids 13 and under and one accompanying adult per child. The same morning BAMPFA's Gallery + Studio family workshop is also on our calendar.
