Sachi Annual Event: Calm and Chaos of Vishnu's Cosmic Ocean

About

Curators Natasha Reichle and Forrest McGill give a double-feature talk on the Reclining Vishnu, Southeast Asia's largest ancient bronze, on loan from the National Museum of Cambodia, and on how Cambodian rulers used water and cosmic-ocean myth, in Samsung Hall at the Asian Art Museum, 200 Larkin St (across from Civic Center BART/Muni). It starts at 11 am on Sunday, Nov 1, a Free First Sunday. Stay for the free Diwali celebration in the afternoon, already on our calendar.
