Oct31All Levels Saturday Morning Clay SessionSaturday, 9:00 AMA weekly wheel session with Steph for beginners and students with a session or two behind them: wedging, centering and pulling walls first, then trimming, project time and surface design, ending with glazing. It meets Saturdays 9–11am from October 31 to December 12 at Of the Earth Collective, 4800 Airport Way S #1 in Georgetown, in groups of five or six. The $555 fee covers clay, materials and firing; finished work is usually ready about two weeks after class.$555.00
Oct31Mini Gingerbread HousesSATURDAYS · 11:00 AM · next Sat, Oct 31, 11:00 AMA three-hour holiday hand-building workshop: assemble small clay houses from slab-cut shapes, then decorate them with underglaze, piped slip and add-on doors, trees and chimneys, typically finishing four to six houses to use as ornaments or a tiny village. Sessions run Saturdays 11am–2pm on November 14, 21 and 28 and December 5 and 12 at Of the Earth Collective, 4800 Airport Way S #1 in Georgetown. The fee is $150, and the studio fires and glazes the pieces for pickup the following weekend.$150.00
Nov2Wheel Projects with StephMonday, 6:00 PMA project-driven Monday wheel class for throwers who can already center and pull walls a few inches tall: weekly projects move from cylinders and vases to large and shallow bowls, a joined moon jar and handled baking dishes, then trimming, sgraffito, carving and mishima, and glazing. It runs Mondays 6–9pm from November 2 through November 30 at Of the Earth Collective, 4800 Airport Way S #1 in Georgetown, with five or six students per instructor. Nov3Sculpture: Animals with DebTuesday, 6:00 PMA Tuesday-evening sculpture series with Debra Bacianga in which each student models a portrait of an animal of their choosing, concentrating on the head and face, built to survive the kiln and optionally fitted to hang on a wall; bring photos or drawings of your subject. It meets 6–8pm from November 3 through December 15 at Of the Earth Collective, 4800 Airport Way S #1 in Georgetown, with six students per instructor. The $650 fee includes materials and firing; a 50% deposit can hold a seat.$650.00
