Holiday Cards in Watercolor
About
A two-session beginner workshop in which you paint your own holiday greeting cards in watercolor, learning about brushes, paper and paints and following a step-by-step process with simple traditional techniques; no experience is needed. Yulia Chubotin teaches on Tuesdays, November 10 and 17, 6:30–8:30pm, in Seattle Central College's Broadway Edison building, 1701 Broadway on Capitol Hill, about a five-minute walk from Capitol Hill Station (1 Line). The fee is $79.

- Guided one-night classes suit groups and first-timers; courses suit people who want to improve.
- Figure-drawing sessions use a live model and are usually for adults only.
- Materials are usually included in one-off classes; courses often send a supply list.
Taking it home: The same day, though acrylic and oil may need a few hours to dry before they travel well.
