Jewelry Repair Workshop with Redyoos
About
Redyoos shows simple ways to clean, restore and fix jewelry and watches, and you can bring your own broken pieces to work on; everyone also goes home with a grab bag of jewelry. The workshop runs 6–8pm Monday at Reuse Commons Lake City, 12558 Lake City Way NE (bus 522 from Roosevelt Station or route 61 from Northgate Station), and costs $10. The following evening the same building hosts a free Fabric Fix-It for clothing repairs.

How it compares
- After work
- Take it home the same day
No other studio on our calendar in Seattle runs jewelry classes right now, so this is the place to go for one.
New to jewelry?
Jewelry classes teach you to saw, file, solder and polish metal into a ring, pendant or earrings, or to work with beads, wire and chain.
- Ring-making is the classic first class; you often leave with a finished silver band.
- Tie back long hair and wear closed-toe shoes at the bench, since torches are involved.
- Silver and gold may be priced on top of the class fee; the listing says when.
Taking it home: Usually the same day, polished and ready to wear.
