Tree Planting the Forest Edge
About
Volunteers plant evergreen trees and shrubs to rebuild a forest edge in Discovery Park, stripping grass, mixing in wood chips and building mulch rings to hold moisture. Meet at the large black cistern 800 feet due west of the white radar tower on the parade grounds (a 10-minute walk from the south lot) for 9:30am–12:30pm. Free with registration and open to all ages.
