Sad Boys in Harpy Land
About
Self-described experimental clown Alex Tatarsky's solo show mixes sad-clown comedy and cabaret with a coming-of-age story about despair and making art, built from vignettes that splice autobiography with characters borrowed from Goethe, Dante, Amiri Baraka, Helen Adam and Seinfeld; Iris McCloughan directs, with live music and sound by Shane Riley. Opening night is Thursday, November 12, 7:30pm, at On the Boards' Behnke Center for Contemporary Performance, 100 W Roy St in Lower Queen Anne, on the RapidRide D Line. The listing doesn't publish ticket prices and notes limited capacity; the Friday show on November 13 adds a post-show talkback.
