Chanoyu: Tea Culture of Japan Demonstration

About

Certified instructors from Seizankai perform a Japanese tea ceremony in the museum's teahouse, showing how the giving and receiving of a bowl of tea can be a practice of mindful living; the audience watches but is not served tea. The hour-long demonstration starts at 3pm Saturday at the Seattle Art Museum, 1300 First Ave (Symphony Station on the 1 Line), is included with admission and seats people first come, first served. A second demonstration follows on 21 November.
