Truth to Fiction: Cameraperson

About

Part of NWFF's Truth to Fiction series, Kirsten Johnson's 2016 documentary memoir reassembles outtakes from her 25 years as a documentary cinematographer, from a Brooklyn boxing ring to postwar Bosnia, to ask what a filmmaker owes the people in front of the lens. It screens at 7:30pm on Thursday, November 5 at Northwest Film Forum, 1515 12th Ave near Capitol Hill Station on the 1 Line. Tickets are $15, $10 for students, children and seniors, and $7 for members. It overlaps with the Engauge festival's Beyond Borders program that evening.
