Becoming Daddy Af

About

David Roussève marks 40 years of his company REALITY with an autobiographical dance-theater self-portrait that weaves archival images, sound, movement and spoken story from ancestral roots in 15th-century Portugal through Houston's Third Ward and Princeton, reflecting on love, loss and survival as a queer African American man born in the 1950s. Roussève writes, directs, choreographs and performs. Opening night is Thursday, December 10, 7:30pm, at On the Boards, 100 W Roy St in Lower Queen Anne (RapidRide D Line); the listing doesn't publish prices, and masked seating is available at every show.
