Pamela Ronald: What Feeds Us

About

UC Davis plant geneticist Pamela Ronald talks about how climate change threatens the world's food supply and how her lab's work on disease- and stress-resistant crops, including flood-tolerant Sub1 rice, has moved from research into farmers' fields. Presented by the UW Office of Public Lectures, it starts at 6:30pm (doors 5:30pm) in The Wyncote NW Forum at Town Hall Seattle, 1119 8th Ave (enter on Seneca St), near Symphony Station on the 1 Line. Tickets are $10.
