Beyond the Margins: Personal Stories from the Filipino American Community
About
A Filipino American History Month program in which local community members, including Bennyroyce Royon, Evelyn Bañez Jackson, Juliet OmliCawas Cheatle, Norma Timbang and Rainier Reyes, share personal stories that rarely make it into standard histories. It is presented with FANHS, Seattle FANHS and the Filipino Community of Seattle and runs 11:30am–1:30pm (doors 11:15am) in the Community Hall of the Wing Luke Museum, 719 S King St, steps from International District/Chinatown Station on the 1 Line. The program is free with an RSVP, ASL interpreted and comes with light refreshments; gallery entry needs separate museum admission.
