Apertura Opening Reception

The opening night for Apertura, a show of 14 short video works in which San Diego and Tijuana artists turn poems into film; it grew out of a May workshop led by San Diego Poet Laureate Paola Capó-García and artist Víctor De La Fuente, who organized the exhibition. The reception is Saturday 24 October, 5pm to 8pm, at the Athenaeum Art Center, 1955 Julian Ave in Barrio Logan, and the show stays up through 2 January 2027. The Athenaeum does not publish a price on the listing. The same building runs a Saturday-morning Life Drawing series through 7 November.
