Beginning Wheel Throwing
About
A one-time, two-hour wheel class for newcomers ages 12 and up: you learn to center clay, pull up walls and shape a functional piece, which the studio then fires, glazes and fires again for pickup. Sessions run every Friday at 1, 3 and 6pm and on weekends from 10am, at Clay CA, 900 N Broadway, Suite 1080, in Chinatown, about two blocks from the Metro A Line Chinatown station. Each class is $75 with materials and the instructor's gratuity included. Clay CA also runs a hand-building class on Wednesday and Thursday mornings and evenings.
