About
The Sunday-evening repeat of Art Masterclass's Pasadena pop-up: an instructor walks the group through designing and tiling a glass mosaic lamp or candle holder to keep. It is held at Hyatt Place Pasadena, 399 E Green St, near the Metro A Line's Memorial Park station, on 20 December at 6pm. Tickets on Fever start at $99 for the candle holder and reach $179 for the Moon Lamp. The same session also runs the evening before, Saturday 19 December.

- Weekend
- Take it home the same day
No other studio on our calendar in Los Angeles runs Turkish mosaic lamp classes right now, so this is the place to go for one.

New to Turkish mosaic lamp?
You pick a glass globe and a pattern, press hundreds of pieces of coloured glass and beads onto it, then grout and polish it into a working Ottoman-style lamp.
- No experience needed; the skill is patience, and the host walks you through placement and grouting.
- Plan on two to three hours. Larger globes and multi-tier pieces take longer and cost more.
- Grout is messy; wear something washable. Most hosts supply gloves and aprons.
Taking it home: Usually the same day, wired and ready. Some hosts ask you to let the grout cure overnight before switching it on.
