Perfumer Spyros Drosopoulos leads a technical session on pyrazines and furanones, the potent molecules behind roasted, nutty and caramel effects, with a smelling session, sample formulas and practical advice on dosing them. It runs Friday, Nov 20 from 10am to 1pm at the Institute for Art and Olfaction, 932 Chung King Rd, Chinatown (Metro A Line, Chinatown station), with an online option. The fee is $215 and previous blending experience is expected. A second seminar on sulfur and thiazole notes follows that evening.
