A wizard-themed first sewing-machine lesson: you learn machine basics and safety, practice on muslin, then sew a Harry Potter-inspired mini tote, in a room dressed up as Hogwarts with costumes optional. It runs Sunday, Nov 15 from 10am to 1pm at The Upcycled Home, 14608 Whittier Blvd, Whittier, with machines and materials provided for ages 9 and up. The Eventbrite listing doesn't publish a price. Two more themed sewing sessions follow that afternoon and evening.
