A day devoted to making a pair of hinged hoop earrings with a working hinge mechanism, for students with basic metalwork and soldering skills; enrollment is capped at 5. It runs 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. (one hour for lunch) on Saturday, Nov 7 at Community Jewelry Arts in Mid-City, with the address sent after registration. It costs $225 plus a materials fee collected at the start. The studio's next intensive, on bezel setting, is Nov 22.
