A beginner sewing course for people who have never used a machine: the first week covers machine basics and practice lines, the second moves on to altering and embellishing your own clothes, and the third is a freestyle project of your choice. This Wednesday-evening group meets Nov 4, 11 and 18 from 5:30 to 8pm at The Wan Sewing Studios, 529 S Broadway, Suite 306, in downtown LA, a short walk from the Metro B/D Line Pershing Square station. Tuition is $269; machine rental is an extra $15 and materials are not included. The studio also runs weekend sections of the same bootcamp in November and December.
