Intro to Quiltmaking: Patchwork, Applique and Stitching in Community
About
Fiber artist Malavika Rao teaches patchwork, applique and surface design through demos and open experimenting, with each student finishing a small quilted piece by the end. The course meets four Fridays, Oct 30 and Nov 6, 13 and 20, from 2 to 5pm at LA Tactile Lab, 407 E Pico Blvd #808 in the Fashion District. The fee is $550, paid in full at registration. The studio's punch needle portrait course runs Friday mornings over the same weeks.
