Decisions That Defined Us: Korematsu V. the United States

About

George Takei plays Fred Korematsu, with Tamlyn Tomita also in the cast, in a live staged reading of the landmark Supreme Court case scripted by the Asian American Bar Association of New York and directed by Jeff Liu; Karen Korematsu, Dale Minami and Lorianne Bannai appear as themselves. A panel moderated by Michele Siquieros of The LA Local follows the reading. It runs 6–9 p.m. Thursday, Nov 12 in JANM's Democracy Center, 100 N Central Ave, about 0.1 mi from the Metro A/E Line Little Tokyo/Arts District station; tickets are $20, or $10 for LA Local and JANM members. It comes five days after the museum's Nov 7 Two Buses Set Out symposium.
