The Horse's Mouth

About

Alec Guinness plays Gulley Jimson, a scruffy painter who lets nothing get between him and the perfect canvas, in Ronald Neame's 1958 adaptation of the Joyce Cary novel. It screens 4:30 to 6:05pm in the museum theater at 411 W Colorado Blvd, Pasadena, as part of the Lives of Artists series; no reservations, doors 30 minutes early. Free with museum admission ($20 adults, $15 seniors, free 18 and under). The same afternoon the museum runs a 1pm gallery talk on narrative in art.
