Myth, Memory, and Meaning: Narrative in Art

About

In this one-hour gallery session a museum educator compares works from several eras and cultures in the Norton Simon collection, asking how each artist builds a story and how materials and methods serve it; Rubens's David Slaying Goliath is the featured image. It meets at 1pm in the Entrance Gallery, 411 W Colorado Blvd, Pasadena. Free with museum admission ($20 adults); space is capped at 20, with sign-up at the Information Desk when the museum opens. The Horse's Mouth screens in the theater at 4:30pm the same day.
