Glass Fused Ornaments
About
This is a Family Series class: a parent or guardian registers with a child aged 12 or over, and you learn to cut glass and build hanging ornaments with dichroic glass, frit and stringers. The Crucible kiln-fires them for pickup the following Monday. Sessions are Tuesday, December 8 (6–9 PM), Saturday, December 12 (2–5 PM) and Sunday, December 13 (10 AM–1 PM) at 1260 7th Street, near West Oakland BART. It costs $210 per person, or $200 for members. With no hot furnace work involved, this is the gentlest of the Crucible's holiday glass options.
