The entry-level sewing class: threading, winding a bobbin and stitching straight and curved seams on a machine, held at Workshop SF, 1310 Haight Street in the Haight (Muni 7 Haight-Noriega or 43 Masonic stop nearby). It costs $54 and next runs 7–10 pm on Friday, Nov 13, then Nov 24, Dec 11 and Dec 22. Most of Workshop SF's sewing projects assume this level of comfort, so start here if you've never used a machine.
