Sophie Dubois builds a Southern meal around pickles and preserved flavors at 18 Reasons, 3674 18th Street in the Mission (J Church to 18th Street, or about ten minutes' walk from 16th St Mission BART). It runs 6–9:30 pm on Tuesday, Nov 10. Sold out at the time of writing; there is a waitlist. Pickling techniques carry straight over to the late-fall produce glut, so it's a useful class for gardeners and CSA members.
