Graphic Medicine: Comics as Healthcare

Mara Ramirez leads an evening workshop on graphic medicine, the practice of using comics to tell stories about illness, care and the body, at Sharon Art Studio, in the historic Sharon Building at 300 Bowling Green Drive in Golden Gate Park (N Judah to Carl & Cole, or the 7 Haight-Noriega to Haight & Stanyan, then a short walk into the park). It runs 6:30–9:30 pm on Tuesday, Nov 10; $75 for members or $100 for non-members (18+). It may appeal to healthcare workers, caregivers and patients as much as to comics fans.
