Marie Brennan teaches a hands-on evening of cooking with dried beans at 18 Reasons, 3674 18th Street in the Mission (J Church to 18th Street, or about ten minutes' walk from 16th St Mission BART). It runs 6–9:30 pm on Thursday, Oct 29. Sold out at the time of writing; there is a waitlist. It's a practical class for vegetarians and budget cooks alike, and Brennan also teaches the Oct 30 tofu-and-tempeh and Nov 3 squash classes.
