About

Fiber artist Vicki Assegued teaches weaving, knotting, wrapping, coiling and twisting on a plastic-fencing base. Students use the fabrics, yarns, beads and buttons she supplies, and add fringe, tassels and pompoms to finish a textured wall hanging. It runs Sunday, October 25, 10 AM–3 PM, at Sebastopol Center for the Arts, 282 S. High Street (drive/park). The price is $125 ($100 plus a $25 materials fee), and no experience is required. Because the base is a rigid grid rather than a loom, beginners can start without any equipment.
