Ace's resident laser expert hosts an open evening for asking questions, trying new techniques and seeing what other members are cutting and engraving; the listing says it suits both beginners and seasoned laser users. It runs Thursday, October 22, 7–9 PM, at Ace Makerspace, 6050 Lowell Street, Suite 214, Oakland (roughly a mile from Ashby BART). Tickets are free or $12 to support the space, and new guests need a free guest account and a signed waiver first.
