This Gather & Make drop-in for Día de los Muertos has you cut and arrange glass into either a 4×6-inch hanging skull or a skull that gets kiln-slumped into a small bowl. You can also make glass flowers, and the Crucible fires the piece for you to collect later. Sessions are Thursday, October 22 (6–8 PM), Saturday, October 24 (2–4 PM) and Sunday, October 25 (12–2 PM) at 1260 7th Street, near West Oakland BART. The hanger is $35 and the bowl is $40. These two-hour make-it-yourself nights cost a fraction of the Crucible's multi-week courses, and they suit ages 7 and up (under-12s with an adult), so they make a low-stakes first visit.
