Papel Picado

About

Adults fold and cut colorful tissue paper into papel picado, the Mexican folk-art banners strung up for celebrations, at the Parkside Branch Library, 1200 Taraval Street (L Taraval at 22nd Avenue). It runs 6–7:30 pm on Wednesday, Oct 21 and is free, but space is limited and reservations are required at the information desk or by calling (415) 355-5770. It's part of the library's Latine heritage programming and is timed for Día de los Muertos decorating.
