An evening of Japanese resist-dye techniques: fold, bind and clamp fabric, then dip it in an indigo vat to produce shibori patterns, at Workshop SF, 1310 Haight Street in the Haight (Muni 7 Haight-Noriega or 43 Masonic stop nearby). It runs 7–10 pm on Wednesday, Oct 21 and costs $72. Wear clothes you don't mind staining, because indigo is famously hard to wash out.
