Watercolor Community of San Francisco
About
A self-run watercolor group paints together for the afternoon and trades friendly critique and tips; there is no instruction and painters bring their own supplies. It meets 1–5 pm on Friday, Oct 30, in the Bernal Heights branch meeting room, 500 Cortland Avenue, with further listed sessions on Nov 13 and Dec 11. Drop-in; the listing says adults while the group says all ages are welcome, and SFPL doesn't print a price.

New to painting?
Painting and drawing classes run from relaxed one-night sessions that guide you to a finished canvas to multi-week courses in watercolour, oils, figure drawing or illustration.
- Guided one-night classes suit groups and first-timers; courses suit people who want to improve.
- Figure-drawing sessions use a live model and are usually for adults only.
- Materials are usually included in one-off classes; courses often send a supply list.
Taking it home: The same day, though acrylic and oil may need a few hours to dry before they travel well.
