The Haunt: a Halloween Hangout Crafted by Artists

Bat Witch Ghost and YBCA fill a 6,000 sq ft space with artist-built haunted installations, this year on a Techno-Fantasy theme made from salvaged electronics, plus tarot readings and DJs curated by Lower Grand Radio. Sessions are Thu Oct 29 7–10 p.m., Fri Oct 30 5–7 p.m. (family-friendly early show with a free SCRAP headwear workshop) and 8–10 p.m., and Sat Oct 31 8–11 p.m., in the Forum at YBCA, 701 Mission St near Montgomery St BART. Tickets are $25, $15 for YBCA members, and free for kids 12 and under; evening shows are recommended 13+. The Friday early show is the rare artist-made haunt that works for young kids.
