Macabre Marvels in the Stacks: Inspiration from Sfpl's Hidden Books
About
For one October evening the library brings out rarely seen, reference-only books of masks, costumes and eerie imagery for visitors to browse, photograph or sketch, with librarians on hand, in the Art, Music & Recreation Center on the 4th floor of the Main Library, 100 Larkin Street (Civic Center BART/Muni). It runs 6–7:30 pm on Thursday, Oct 22; it's drop-in and SFPL doesn't print a price on the listing. It's a low-key Halloween-season option the same night as Cal Academy's ticketed NightLife Día de los Muertos.
